Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Department: ABA Services
Reports To: Director of ABA Services
FLSA: Non Exempt
Pay Range: $19.00 Hr.
SUMMARY
The Registered Behavior Technician is responsible for serving a caseload of individuals being served by the Applied Behavior Analysis Services (ABA) Department for Life Unlimited. Applied Behavior Analysis uses the scientific principles of behavior to promote positive and socially significant behavior change in humans, specifically those served by Life Unlimited. The ABA Services Department will collaborate with staff and other professionals in the agency to ensure best practice and consistency for individuals being served. The person in this position reports to the Director of ABA Services.
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve a caseload of individuals as assigned by the Director of ABA Services under close supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst
- Collect data using individualized data collection instruments as advised by the assigned Behavior Analyst
- Implement individualized behavior support plans for each person served as trained by the assigned Behavior Analyst
- Utilize data collection instruments and enter collected data into databases as instructed by the assigned Behavior Analyst
- Report progress for each individual served to the case Behavior Analyst
- Complete billing documentation within 48 hours of providing services
- Maintain supervision requirements as determined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board by meeting with the supervising Behavior Analyst at least weekly for supervision and review of current caseload, including scheduling and advocating for onsite supervision as needed
- Other activities related to the implementation of behavior analytic plans, including (but not limited to) attending plan meetings, attending staff meetings, and attending house meetings of individuals receiving active services
- Maintain registered behavior technician certification requirements as determined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
- All Other Duties as Assigned
Physical Expectations
This position may require extended periods of walking and/or standing with some periods of sitting. It may require light (5 lbs.) to heavy lifting (50 lbs.) and occasional stooping, kneeling, and/or bending.
Working Conditions
The employee may be exposed to office/home environment with noises from appliances, telephones, and other occupational noises depending upon the job placement. The employee may be exposed to bloodborne pathogens and/or infectious diseases.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have completed high school-level education or equivalent
- Registered with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a current RBT
- Experience working with adults with IDD in a residential community-based service delivery model preferred
- Experience implementing behavior supports and behavior support plans preferred
- Ability to collect data and document services delivered
- Current driver’s license with acceptable driving record and access to reliable transportation to conduct visits to multiple sites plus attend community meetings
- Must carry minimum coverage applicable by law for auto insurance
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage time effectively, and maximize efficiency
- Must receive seasonal Flu Vaccination
